Q: Where can I find the agenda for the Convention?
A: Our draft agenda is up! We continue to work on an exciting line-up of speakers and events. Please check back periodically.
Q: Is there a 1-2 day pass for Convention?
A: We don’t have a day or two-day pass; however, you are not required to attend every day. Make sure to take advantage of our Early Bird and Pre-Registration rates to enjoy significant discounts.
Q: Am I required to stay at the hotel during the convention?
A: You are not required to stay at the same hotel as the convention. The limited number of rooms priced at a special group rate are offered as a courtesy, and you are welcome to stay wherever is most convenient for you.
Q: Hotel Rooms Are Full - what should i do?
A: We have had a huge response to this year’s convention and indeed our room block is full. Unfortunately regular rooms at Sheraton Universal and Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City also look scarce. We encourage you to try nearby hotels in Burbank and Pasadena. Thank you for going the extra mile to attend #AAJA22!
Q: How do I get a refund for my ticket registration?
A: If you have an unavoidable circumstance, including work conflicts, please reach out to support@aaja.org. We check and respond to this email account daily, so we ask for your patience as we respond.
Q: How do I volunteer for the convention?
A: Thank you for your interest in volunteering! Applications were due Friday, June 24th.
Q: Do volunteers get a discount?
A: Yes! Volunteers get complimentary registration. If you applied to be a volunteer but weren’t chosen, you will still get a chance to register at our Early Bird rates.
Q: I never received a confirmation from EventFarm?
A: We are working on it now. If you still haven’t heard from EventFarm by Wednesday, July 13, please reach out to support@aaja.org.
Q: Will there be a virtual/hybrid option for attending the AAJA 2022 conference?
A: We are not planning a virtual or hybrid option for 2022.
Q: Is there any way for someone unvaccinated to attend the conference?
A: Only those who can prove they are up-to-date on their COVID-19 vaccinations will be allowed to attend the conference. No refunds will be given for those who don’t follow our COVID-19 policy. We do this for the safety of everyone. Thank you for your understanding.
Q: I want to pay for registration with my company credit card.
A: Please get in touch with support@aaja.org.
Q: HOW CAN I GET TO THE SHERATON HOTEL?
A: The Sheraton Hotel is a 10 minute walk away from the Metro Red Line Universal / Studio City Station. TAP transit cards can be purchased at Metro stations or accessed through the TAP app. The Metro Red Line can also be used to reach areas such as Downtown and Little Tokyo. Please refer to the Metro website for more information.
